26 more die, 1,812 test positive in 24hrs

Bangladesh confirmed 26 new deaths on a regular basis from a novel coronavirus infection, totalling 4,759.
About 1,812 coronavirus patients were identified within 24 hours, bringing the overall number of infections to 339,332.
The announcement was made in a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday afternoon.
Health officials registered another 2,512 people recovering from the disease every day, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 243,155.
During the last 24 hours, 93 coronavirus research laboratories throughout the country tested 14,216 samples.
Of the total sample samples, 12.75 per cent tested positive in the last 24 hours, while 19.47 per cent of the total tests performed so far were detected, the release added.
Among the total infections, 71.66 per cent of patients have recovered, while 1.40 per cent have died after the first positive cases of COVID-19 were identified in the country on 8 March.
