Bangladeshi worker in Qatar rewarded for civic responsibility

The Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar awarded an honor for his "exemplary good deed" to migrant worker Md Yasin.

Md Jashim Uddin, Ambassador to Qatar, gave him a crest at the embassy.

Yasin won Bangladesh a positive reputation by helping a disabled man cross a busy road in the host country in a wheelchair.

He parked his motorbike and supported the person who was physically disabled.

A commuter recorded and posted a video of the incident on different social media.

Yasin was awarded by the local authority of Qatar for demonstrating civic duty and humanitarian gesture, according to the foreign ministry post.

Ambassador Jashim urged Bangladeshi expatriates to follow the example and the illustration of a hiking country abroad.
