BAF air defence exercise ‘ADEX 2020-3’ held

The Bangladesh Air Force' ADEX 2020-3 'Air Defence Exercise was conducted on Monday in Dhaka, Chattogram, Jashore, Cox's Bazar, Tangail and Barishal.

The purpose of this exercise is to analyze and assess the effectiveness and capabilities of BAF Air Defence, to identify vulnerabilities and to learn how to further develop the air defense system.

BAF pilots conducted numerous air combat manoeuvres and techniques as part of the training, including fighter aircraft attack and interception, aerial observation of enemy attack areas, defense of airbases, transport of weapons and special operations.

Involved in the exercise were all types of BAF fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopters, radar squadrons and air defense missile units.

The exercise will help to recognize the constraints and learn appropriate lessons in the future for change.

The involvement of all BAF staff and equipment in this exercise would also be more successful in improving Bangladesh's air defense capability.

It should be noted that the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy also participated in the exercise to make the exercise more functional and realistic on a small scale.
