37 more die, 2,292 test positive in 24hrs

Bangladesh announced a daily count of 37 new deaths from novel coronavirus infections, for a total of 6,524.
A further 2,292 patients with coronavirus were identified within 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 456,438.
The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon in a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Another 2,274 individuals recovered from the disease every day were registered by health officials, taking the total number of recoveries to 371,453.
In the last 24 hours, 17,052 samples were tested by 118 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country.
In the last 24 hours, 13.44 percent of the total sample tests were positive, while 16.82 percent of the total tests performed so far were detected, the release added.
Of the total infections, 81.38 percent of patients have recovered, while 1.43 percent have died so far since the country announced the first COVID-19 positive cases on March 8.
