Bangladesh will export 50,000 tons of urea fertiliser to Nepal

In order to provide Nepal's government with assistance, Bangladesh will export 50,000 tons of urea fertiliser.

In view of the need for the people of Nepal, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave instructions to extend cooperation in this regard, the Ministry of Industries said.

A bilateral agreement was signed on Thursday between the Bangladesh Ministry of Industry's Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) and Krishi Samagri Company Limited (KSCL) of Nepal.

On behalf of their respective organisations, BCIC Chairman Amin Ul Ahsan and KSCL Managing Director Netra Bahadur signed the agreement.

During the signing ceremony, appropriate officials from both countries were present.
