Covid-19: 32 more die, 1,470 test positive in 24hrs

Bangladesh announced a daily count of 32 new deaths from novel coronavirus infections, for a total of 7,312.

Another 1,470 patients with coronavirus have been confirmed in 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 502,183.

In the last 24 hours, 15,669 samples were tested by 118 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country.

Another 2,167 individuals recovered from the disease every day were registered by health officials, taking the total number of recoveries to 439,694.

9.38 percent of the total sample samples have tested positive in the past 24 hours, while 16.24 percent of the total tests performed so far have been identified, the release added.

Of the total infections, 87.56 percent of patients have recovered, while 1.46 percent have died so far since the country announced the first COVID-19 positive cases on March 8.
