Elections to three municipalities in Chattogram on February 14

The timetable for elections for the three municipalities of Chattogram has been announced by the Election Commission (EC).

Elections will take place on 14 February in 56 municipalities, including the three municipalities of Patia, Chandana and Satkania de Chattogram, as scheduled.

The last date for submission of the nomination paper shall be 17 January, the scrutiny date shall be 19 January and the last date for withdrawal of the nomination shall be 26 January. Voting begins at 8:00 am and lasts until 4:00 pm.

Of the three municipalities in Chattogram, only in the municipality of Patia will the electronic voting system be used.

Earlier, during the first phase of municipal elections, the election was held in Sitakunda municipality on December 28.
