In a gunfight between two groups of Rohingyas over establishing dominance at a refugee camp in the Chakmarkul region of Waikong union under Teknaf Upazila of Cox's Bazar early Sunday, a Rohingya man was killed and 10 others were wounded.

The deceased was identified as Noor Hakim, 27, a resident of Uzazila's Chakmarkul Rohingya Camp No. 21.

The gunfight took place at about 3:00 a.m. between two groups of Rohingyas.

Armed Police Battalion Commanding Officer (APBn)-16 Md Torikul Islam said the criminals fled when members of the APBn rushed to the location.

Later, the law enforcers recovered Hakim's bullet-hit body and sent it for autopsy to the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue.
