Cold wave may persist for 3 more days

The cold wave that is spreading through the country is expected to persist for another three days.

Rangpur, Srimangal, Pabna, Badalgachhi upazila of Panchagarh, Bogura, Dinajpur and Chuadanga are being swept by a mild to moderate cold wave and it can continue for a few more days.

The lowest temperature in Srimangal on Saturday was reported at 7.9 degrees Celsius, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.

The Met office predicted that the clouded-sky mercury will continue for 24 hours beginning on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Mild to dense fog may occur in places over the country's river basins, and during midnight to morning light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere.

In the next three days, day and night temperatures through remain unchanged.
