BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital, has 'suddenly' contracted fever long after she was released from the corona. The medical board of the hospital will sit in a meeting to review why this new symptom of the BNP chairperson appeared.

The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said this at a press conference on Friday. The press conference was held at the chairperson's office in Gulshan to convey the party's budget.

The BNP secretary general said, "She (Khaleda Zia) is fairly good now, the parameters are good. But he has been suffering from a fever since last night. What the doctors are investigating, they are giving treatment. '

The secretary-general added, "Suddenly he got this fever. It will be examined by the doctors and her medical board will sit today. Then it will be known. He has been undergoing treatment for fever since last night.

On April 27, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital. Six days later, on May 3, he was rushed to the coronary care unit after experiencing shortness of breath. The BNP chairperson is undergoing treatment under the supervision of a 10-member medical board headed by Shahabuddin Talukder, a cardiologist at Evercare Hospital.

On April 14, he was infected with coronavirus at his home in Gulshan, Firoza. He was released on May 9.

Following the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, the government granted him conditional release on March 25 last year on humanitarian grounds. From then on, he was in quarantine in Firoza, a rented house in Gulshan. Contact with him from outside was limited.
