Four held with yaba, ganja in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, here arrested four alleged drug peddlers with 5,280 pieces of yaba tablets and 36.90 kilograms of ganja last night.

The arrested were identified as Al Amin, 25, son of Jahangir Alam Zoardar, Nayeem Sarker, 23, son of Dulal Sarker, Lavlu Sarker, 21, son of Aminul Islam, and Moznu Mian, 27, son of Matizar Rahman.

A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in the Binodpur Bazar area under Motihar Police Station in Rajshahi city around 8.30
pm and arrested Al Amin with the yaba tablets red-handed, RAB said today.

In another drive, an additional team of the RAB arrested Nayeem Sarker, Lavlu Sarker and Moznu Mian with 36.90 kilograms of ganja after raiding a
covered van red-handed around 7.15 pm. The operation team also seized the vehicle.

The arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police after recording separate cases with the respective police stations in
these connections.
