35,542 more get 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Rangpur

A total of 35,542 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division.  

“Among the 35,542 citizens, 35,529 were inoculated with the first dose of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 13 with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS at 7:35 pm.

“With the inoculation of 35,542 citizens with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the first dose recipient citizens rose to 17,89,296 in all eight districts of Rangpur division.     

Among the first dose recipient 17,89,296 citizens, 5,96,959 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 10,61,427 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,30,910 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

The district-wise break-up of 17,89,296 first dose recipient citizens stands at 4,48,944 in Rangpur, 1,34,734 in Panchagarh, 2,20,383 in Nilphamari, 1,31,862 in Lalmonirhat, 1,92,772 in Kurigram, 1,60,105 in Thakurgaon, 2,22,451 in Dinajpur and 1,92,565 in Gaibandha.  

Meanwhile, the number of the second dose recipient citizens rose to 6,84,441 with the inoculation of more 24,583 citizens today in all eight districts of the division.  

Among the 6,84,441 second dose recipient citizens, 5,96,959 were inoculated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, 1,59,699 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 16,062 citizens with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

“The district-wise break-up of 6,84,441 second dose recipient citizens stands at 1,68,352 in Rangpur, 55,053 in Panchagarh, 88,872 in Nilphamari, 43,331 in Lalmonirhat, 56,830 in Kurigram, 62,290 in Thakurgaon, 1,37,950 in Dinajpur and 73,105 in Gaibandha,” he said.
