BGB recovers 1,000 yaba tablets, phensidyl in C'nawabganj

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 1,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets and 46 bottles of Indian phensidyl during two separate drives in frontier areas last night.

BGB sources said acting on secret information, a patrol team of BGB from Telkupi border outpost conducted a raid at Telkupi field about 300 yards inside Bangladesh territory from the border pillar No. 180/7-S at 9:10 pm and recovered 46 bottles of Indian phensidyl in an abandoned condition.

Another team of BGB from Chakpara border outpost conducted a raid at Naldubi Bazar Bridge Intersection about 30 yards inside Bangladesh territory from border pillar No. 184/1-S at 10:30 pm and found 1,000 pieces of yaba tablet in an abandoned condition.
