A special tribunal here today framed charges in three cases lodged under Digital Security Act (DSA) against photojournalist Shafikul Islam Kajol.

Judge Ash Sams Joglul Hossain of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal framed the charges, setting January 2 for placing opening statements in the cases. Kajol during today's hearing pleaded not guilty and demanded justice from the court.

The court earlier dismissed three pleas for discharging Kajol from the cases.

Magura-1 lawmaker Saifuzzaman Shikhor filed one DSA case against Kajol and 31 others on March 10, 2020. Jubo Mahila League leaders Usmin Ara Bally and Sumaiya Chowdhury Bonya filed the other two cases against Kajol.
