Direct train to ply Panchagarh-Coxs Bazar route: Sujan

Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan said direct train communication will be introduced between Panchagarh and Coxs Bazar districts in future.

"Direct train service will be launched on Panchagarh-Coxs Bazar route in the days to come," he said while visiting Bir Muktijodha Sirajul Islam rail station here on Friday night.

He said the government wants to make train communication easier in the country, adding that, "We are mulling introducing train service on Banglabandha-Panchagarh route in future".

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Johurul Islam, Superintendent of Police (SP) Yousuf Ali, Boda Municipality Mayor Advocate Ohahiduzzaman Suja, among others, were present.

The minister also exchanged pleasantries with the locals after Zumma prayers.

During the conversation with them, he said the government has put stable fertilizer price along with giving subsidy at high yield crop seeds and fertilizers.

The government is considering providing free irrigation opportunity to the farmers through electricity, he added.

The present government will do all things for development of agriculture that will change the fate of the farmers.
