President off to Singapore

President Abdul Hamid left here for Singapore this morning on a six-day visit for his medical checkup there.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10.30 am.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, the dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh, cabinet secretary, the chiefs of the three services and high civil and military officials concerned saw him off at the airport.
The President is expected to return home on December 11.
