4 held over Hazaribagh RMG worker’s death

Police on Wednesday (May 3) detained four youths over the death of a ready made garment worker in the capital’s Hazaribagh on Wednesday (May 3).

Identities of the detained could not be known yet.

Hazaribagh police station sub-inspector (SI) M Abu Sayem told Banglanews that police recovered the hanging body of Mousumi, 20, from the house holding 101/B at Sarak Kunjo area in Hazaribagh on Tuesday evening (May 2).

Later, the body was sent to Mitford Hospital Dhaka for autopsy.

Mousumi and her sister Sumi Akter used to live in the rented house in Hazaribagh and work at a ready made garment factory there.

Quoting the family, SI Sayem said that some 6-7 local youths including Nazim, Kaosar, Mithu and Aziz used to stalk Mousumi by throwing illicit proposals at her frequently.

On April 30, Aziz claimed in the area that he has had physical relationship with Mousumi. Following the claim, she was found dead at her room on Tuesday.
