Hong Kong stock market takes a tumble on reopen

Hong Kong's Hang Seng stock market index plunged 3 per cent as it resumed on Wednesday as investors expected the coronavirus ' economic impact, BBC reports.

Nearly all of the 50 Chinese companies that make up the Hang Seng Index listed in Hong Kong were in the red.

Travel and casino operators have been hit most hard as traders evaluate the economic impact of the deadly virus.

With more than 9,000 reported cases, Coronavirus has already destroyed more than 130 lives.
