Nasrul urges Qatar to reconsider LNG price

Nasrul Hamid, Minister of State for Power , Energy and Mineral Resources, urged Qatari State Energy Minister Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi on Monday to reconsider the price of LNG supplied to Bangladesh in the global context.

He made the request when Qatar's Minister of State for Energy literally paid him a courtesy call.

Nasrul Hamid, referring to Qatar as a friendly country, said that bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Qatar could be further strengthened.

"There are several more areas for growing cooperation in the energy sector that both countries would gain from exploring," he said.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi thanked Nasrul Hamid, Minister of State for Power , Energy and Mineral Resources, and said Qatar is interested in working in other energy sub-sectors in Bangladesh, including LNG.
