It is possible that the Indian government will give special permission to its authorities to export 20,000 tonnes of onion to Bangladesh.
At a meeting with Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak at the secretariat in the capital on Wednesday, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami came up with the informer.
"On special account, the Indian government has agreed to export 20,000 tonnes of onion to Bangladesh. To his closest friend, it is a special gesture," he said.
