After a clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Chittagong University, local-made weapons were recovered from four residential halls on Saturday night.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (North) Additional Superintendent Moshiudoula Reza said they raided the halls of Shahjalal, Shah Amanat, Shaheed Suhrawardy, and Shaheed Abdur Rab.

In addition to local weapons, police have seized a number of brick chips bags.

The raids were carried out after the factional clashes of BCL on November 28 and 29, CU Proctor Prof. Monirul Hasan said.

No one has been arrested.

In the clashes between followers of CU BCL unit President Rezaul Haque Rubel and former deputy secretary of the department, Mizanur Rahman Bipul, at least 10 BCL people were wounded.
