Salman Shah’s death probe report on February 2

In a case filed on the death of film actor Shahriar Chowdhury Emon, popularly known as Salman Shah, a Dhaka court ordered the Police Investigation Bureau (PBI) to send a review report on February 2.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order after no probe report was received on Sunday by a PBI investigating officer of the case.

This was confirmed to the media today by Faruque Ahmed, the counsel of the appellant.

Since December 2016, the PBI has been probing Salman Shah's suspicious death murder. The silver screen actor's family members and his ardent fans are hoping for the day after PBI's long investigation to come to a conclusion.

Earlier on November 3, 1997, the Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) launched an investigation into the incident and submitted a report.

Later, on August 3, 2014, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Emdadul Haque also launched a judicial investigation and submitted a report to the court. Both the report called death' suicide.' On September 6, 1996, the world as a whole was stunned by the news that popular movie star Salman Shah died unexpectedly. His body was found at his Eskaton home in the capital dangling from a ceiling fan.

His father Kamaruddin Chowdhury, filed with the Ramna Police Station an unnatural death complaint. In this regard her mother Neela Chowdhury lodged a murder case.

The accused are Aziz Mohammad Bhai, Samira Haq, the actor's wife Samira's mother Latifa Haq Lucy, Rizvi Ahmed Aka Farhad, Nazrul Sheik an assistant dance director,' David, Ashraful Haq Don, Mostak Waid, Abul Hossain Khan, Monowara Begum's domestic help, and neighbor Rabeya Sultana Ruby.

PBI also spoke to a number of people, according to reports, and provided important information about the actor's death

The information extracted from PBI is expected to help unfold the mystery of the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, in August 2017, Ruby claimed that Salman Shah had been killed in a viral video message. She said her brother was part of the plot and at the behest of her Chinese husband and Samira Haq's family, the actor's wife, Salman Shah was murdered.
