Bangladesh is one of the most vulnerable nations when it comes to climate change. Not only is the country prone to heatwaves but it also experienced devastating floods. Already one-third portion of the country is facing flood this year, affecting over millions of people and damaging over 1 million houses.

Floods are also stripping away at available land. Each year, riverbank erosion displaces up to 200,000 people in Bangladesh. According to the International Panel on Climate Change, this nation could lose up to 20% of its landmass from just 3 feet of sea-level rise.

Many climate refugees in Bangladesh are fleeing from rural villages to Dhaka, This number will increase significantly in coming days due to climate change.
