Bangladesh concede 7-wkt defeat against India

Bangladesh conceded a 7-wicket defeat against India in the first match of the Super Four round in the Asia Cup at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

It was their second consecutive defeat in the ongoing six nations Asia Cup 2018 championship in UAE. Earlier on Thursday, Tigers had a 136-run defeat against Afghanistan in the last match of the Group B game at Abu Dhabi.

India skipper Rohit Sharma invited Bangladesh to bat first after winning the toss and Tamim less Bangladeshi batsmen once again suffered a batting disaster against Indian bowling attack.

Jadejs's 4-29 wrecked Bangladesh to 173 all out in 49.1 overs before chasing down the target in 36.2 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Chasing such poor target, Indian openers—Rohit Sharama and Shikhar Dhawan—gave a good start with 61-run stand.

Dhawan Scored 40 off 47 before departed by Shakib Al Hasan on 14.2 over.

Rubel Hossain sent back Rayudu at the last ball of the 24th over, in the meantime India’s total stood on 106.

India finally finished the chase and reached the target 174 in 36.2 losing only three wickets.

Opener Rohit Sharama hit highest 83 runs off 104 balls with three sixes and five fours.

Shakib Al Hasan, Rubel Hossain and Mashrafe bin Mortaza picked up one wicket each.
