Miraz strikes double, Zimbabwe 290/8

Zimbabwe scored 290  runs by losing 8 wickets in 98.3 overs in the third Day of the second and final match of a Test series against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla National cricket Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday.

Regis Chakabva and Kyle Jarvis were on the crease, scoring 5 off 23 balls and 0 run off 0 ball respectively.
 
Earlier, Zimbabwe started batting on day three of first session  with 42 runs in 29 overs by losing wickets of Hamilton Masakadza.

Earliar, Mushfiqur Rahim struck unbeaten 219 while Mehedi Hasan made 68 not out as Bangladesh declared their first innings at 522-7 on day two of their second and final Test match against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Monday.

The former captain played 421 balls in his phenomenal journey towards becoming first Bangladeshi player to score two double hundreds, also surpassed Sakib al Hasan to become the highest individual scorer for the Tigers in Test cricket.

Spinner Mehedi Miraz also claimed his second Test fifty and put up a unbroken 144-run stand with Mushfiq for the eighth wicket – highest in the eighth wicket stand.

Pacer Kyle Jarvis claimed 5-71 on the second day for Zimbabwe.

Earlier, Bangladesh put up a strong performance against Zimbabwe in the first day thanks to Mominul Haque (161) and Mushfiq – as both struck hundreds to lift the Tigers in the final match
