Still not up to the mark, Tamim Iqbal fell for 36 off 53 deliveries while playing Mohammad Nabi against Afghanistan at Southampton on Monday.

The left-handed opener failed to manage a brisk start as expected by his fans.

Tamim went to cut Nabi towards the cover area but only managed an inside edge which has shattered his stumps.

Before getting dismissed, Tamim and Shakib Al Hasan added 59 runs in the second wicket start.

Earlier, the Afghan captain won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first. Mujeeb Ur Rahman gave his team an early breakthrough removing Liton Das for 16.

Bangladesh included Mohammad Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain in this match who missed the previous game due to injuries.
