Shakib's Barbados Tridents beat Trinbago Knight Riders to reach CPL final

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan’s Barbados Tridents qualified for the 2019 edition of the Caribbean Premier League by defeating Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2nd qualifier by 12 runs on Friday.

Asked to bat first, Barbados Tridents posted 160-6 in their 20 overs. For Barbados, Shakib scored 18 off 12 balls with one four and a six.

In reply, the Tridents managed to score 148 by losing all wickets on the board.

Shakib Al Hasan failed again to do something special for his team as he bowled just two overs with figures of 0/27.

Barbados, the 2014 champion, will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the grand finale Sunday night at the same venue.
