The club have demanded 3 (three) million Euro for the arrangement. The demanded money is worth Tk 28.2 crore.

When asked about recommendations of MUFC delegates, Swapan replied, “They have several recommendations. They have inspected our ground and observed the security plans. Later, they will check the accommodation and others. They have demanded 3 (three) million Euro. We are expecting a positive result.”

“We are going to arrange a friendly football match next year named after the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman titled “Bangabandhu Challenge Cup,” Swapan added.

The government is preparing to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman next year, declared as ‘Mujib Year’.

On the occasion sports, cultural and entertaining programmes will be held throughout the year of 2020 and those will continue until March 26, 2021 -- the golden jubilee year of the country's independence.
