Chattogram Challengers beat Sylhet Thunder

Chattogram Challengers defeated Sylhet Thunder with five wickets in Wednesday's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium opener of the Bangladesh Premier League Special Edition, the Bangabandhu BPL.

The Challengers stole glory with Imrul Kayes and Chadwick Walton's batting performances. The pair scored 61 out of 38 and 49 out of 30 runs.

Earlier, with the aid of Mohammad Mithun's unbeaten 84, Sylhet Thunder set a target of 163 runs, runs off only 48 balls while Johnson Charles scored 35 runs off just 23 balls.

For Chattogram Challengers, Rubel Hossain captured two wickets while Najmul Islam took two wickets for Sylhet Thunder.

Earlier, Chattogram Challengers won the toss and opted to bowl first.
