Zimbabwe take comfort in familiarity with conditions

Zimbabwe's wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor is aware of the challenges he is facing in the upcoming Dhaka Test but has taken confidence in his familiarity with the setting. He called "second home" in Bangladesh

A 15-member Zimbabwe Test squad led by Craig Ervine arrived Friday at Dhaka airport to play a Test, three ODIs and two T20Is.

"We are well prepared. It's good to be back in Bangladesh in the first place, a place we call our second home," Taylor said. "We know the conditions, we had two good test matches in Sri Lanka that went on for five days. We took a lot of encouragement from that so hopefully we will proceed.

"Obviously Bangladesh has always been very hard to win against. So we know who we're up against, the challenge, but we're looking forward to it. They're always playing well at home and that's their comfort zone, where they thrive and the boys have a good record." Taylor added that they're going to miss the services of regular Test Skipper Sean Williams, who has chosen the Test for personal reasons.

"It's certainly[ we're going to miss Sean Williams] because he's like our Shakib. He's a batting all-rounder, he's a good left-arm spinner bowling, and he's been scoring some good runs against Sri Lanka, so his absence is a chance for the young."
