Barcelona felt the absence of injured Lionel Messi when they were taken by Eibar fighting in La Liga on Tuesday to a draw at home.

Until Eibar shocked their hosts by taking a 57th-minute lead through striker Kike Garcia, Martin Braithwaite missed a penalty in the first half.

10 minutes later, Ousmane Dembele equalized, steering in a first-time attempt.

For the hosts, Braithwaite had a chance to win it, but bundled high from near range.

Messi, who is recovering from an ankle injury, watched the game from the stands, having returned earlier on Tuesday from Argentina.

In La Liga, the point leaves Barcelona sixth while Eibar is 14th, two points away from the relegation zone.
