Kushal Perera scored a century after getting life

Kushal Perera picked up the catch at a time when he needed only 1 run for his century. But Mahmudullah Riyadh could not catch the catch. Perera survived. Kushal Perera got his life with 1 run in the next ball. He hit 10 fours and 1 six off 99 balls.

The Sri Lankan captain won the toss and elected to bat in the last match of the three-match World Cup Super League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Friday (May 26).

Perera caught the fifth ball of the 32nd over by Mostafiz. The ball was not batted properly and was caught mid-off. Mahmudullah could not take the catch even with the dive. The catch was not easy but he should have been caught. Perera is unbeaten on 113 off 115 balls with 10 fours and 1 six and De Silva is unbeaten on 16 off 33 balls with 1 four.

At the time of writing, Sri Lanka had scored 203 runs for the loss of 3 wickets at the end of 36 overs. Taskin Ahmed took three wickets.
