After much speculation, the Copa America schedule has finally been finalized. Venezuela will face host Brazil in the opening match. And the traditional Maracana Stadium is being prepared for the final.

The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) said in a statement on Wednesday (June 2nd).

Colombia and Argentina were due to host the Copa America, which was delayed by a year due to Corona. For the first time in the 105-year history of the competition, the two countries were to hold a joint event. But Colombia's civil war has left the country out of the host list. Conmebol offers to host all the matches in Argentina. But now there is a terrible infection of corona in Argentina. So they are not interested in organizing the Copa. This time the Copper event will be held in Brazil at the scheduled time. It will start from 13th June and will continue till 10th July.

The match is scheduled to start on June 13 with the Brazil-Venezuela match at the Garrincha Stadium. Brazil's other opponents in Group B are Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Another favorite team in the tournament, Argentina, will start on June 14 at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio. Their opponent in the match is Chile. The other teams in this group are Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

The first semi-final will be played on July 5 at the Nilton Santos Stadium; The next day will be the second in Garrincha. The final will be played in Maracana on July 10, this is the only match here.

Earlier on Monday, the Copa America in Argentina was canceled due to coronavirus. Within hours, Conmebol announced that a tournament would be held in Brazil.
