Two Bangladeshi female pilots have become the role models for Congolese women and girls while serving the United Nations peacekeeping mission and overcoming challenges boldly.

Flight Lieutenants Nayma Haque and Tamanna-E-Lutfi are serving in a yearlong UN peacekeeping mission as helicopter pilots in the sub-Saharan country Congo.

Their responsibilities include performing operational duties like carrying emergency medical support, patients and casualties.

"We are a sort of inspiration for the local women. So, when they see us… the young girls have the inspiration that they should have education," says Flight Lieutenant Nayma in a special video by the UN to showcase their contributions in the peacekeeping mission.
