2 killed in Thakurgaon road crash

Two people, including a minor boy, were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in Farabari area on Baliadangi-Nekmorod road in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon on Friday night.
The deceased are Majnu, 30, son of a certain Shahjahan Ali of Chengthi Hazradanga village in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh, and Junaid, 3, son of Foyzul Islam of Nekmorod Beelpara village in Ranisankail upazila.
Baliadangi police station officer-in-charge Mustafizur Rahman said the accident took place around 7:30pm when a Dhaka-bound bus hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw from opposite direction. The incident left the two dead on the spot and seven others injured.
Later, Baliadangi fire service and civil defence station men rescued the injured and recovered the bodies.
The injured were admitted to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex where physicians referred them to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment, the OC added.
