Foreign Minister to brief diplomats in afternoon over the growing Rohingya crisis

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali will brief diplomats stationed in Dhaka over the growing Rohingya crisis in the country on Monday afternoon. 

According to a senior Foreign Ministry official, the briefing is scheduled to begin at state guesthouse Padma around 4:00 pm.  

Earlier, the minister  briefed diplomats over the issue.

Following persecution in Rakhine, over 519,000 Rohingyas have fled into Bangladesh. Bangladesh also urged the international community to mount pressure on Myanmar to take back its citizens and make their return to their homeland sustainable.
