4 ‘robbers’ held in Chuadanga

Police in a drive arrested four alleged members of inter-district robbers’ gang along with home-made weapons from Darshana-Joyrampur road area of Damurhuda upazila early Tuesday.

The arrestees were identified as Abu Siddique, son of Gofar Maula of Keshabpur village, Sultan, son of Jabbar Hossain of Hotathpara, Billal Hossain, son of Jahir Hossain of Chhayghoria village of the upazila and Jubayer, son of Abu Kalam of Nehalpur village in Sadar upazila.

GM Emdadul Haque, sub-inspector of Damurhuda Model Police Station, said tipped-off that a gang of robbers was taking preparation to commit robbery in the area, a team of police conducted a drive and arrested them along with locally-made weapons.

The arrestees are active members of inter-district robbers’ gang, the SI added.
