Ctg road crash leaves 2 dead

Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident at Barabkunda on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Sitakunda upazila on early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Masud, 35, and Md Quamruzzaman Mollik, 37, son of Giasuddin Mallik of Zajia upazila of Shariatpur.
Police said the accident took place when a Chittagong-bound bus of Saudia Paribahan, coming from Dhaka, dashed a truck from behind only to be hit by another truck from behind, leaving 12 passengers injured.
The injured were taken to the upazila health complex where Masud succumbed to his injuries, said Waliur Rahman, a physician at the health complex.
Later, Quamruzzaman was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 5:45am, said Zahirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH police outpost.
