Drug peddler jailed in Magura

A mobile court here on Sunday sentenced a drug peddler to six months' imprisonment for possessing hemps.
The convict is Mohammad Ali, 50, of Mirpara area of the town.
Acting on a tip-off, police, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abu Sufian, raided the area and arrested Ali along with 50 grams of hemp in the afternoon.
Later, a mobile court led by the UNO and also Executive Magistrate handed down the verdict.
