2 die in Sirajganj after taking liquor

Sirajganj: Two men died after drinking toxic liquor at Sonamukhi Bazaar area in Kazipur upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The deceased are Motiar Rahman Moti, about 42 years old, of Panchgachhi village and Belal Hossain, about 50 years old, of Paschim Khukshia village of the upazila.

Samit Kunda, officer-in-charge of Kazipur Police Station, said Moti and Belal drank toxic liquor at the bazaar in the early hours of Wednesday and fell sick.

Later, Moti died at his home while Belal at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment there, the OC added.
