Day labourer ‘kills self’ in Jessore

A man allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at Enayetpur village of Sadar upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 38, a day labourer and son of Riaz Uddin Mollah of the village.
Quoting Rafiqul’s father, Khabir Hossain, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, said that Rafiqul took poison early in the morning and fell sick.
He was rushed to Jessore General Hospital where he died.
Family members said Rafiqul borrowed around TK 2 lakh from different persons in the village and he killed himself failing to pay back the loan.
