Woman drug peddler held

Police arrested a suspected woman peddler along with 500 grams of helm and 25 pieces of Yaba tablets from Sherpur area of Sadar upazila on Sunday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Ranu Begum, 45, wife of late Delwar Ahammed of Brahmangram area of the upazila.
Sohel Ahammed, officer-in-charge of Model Police Station, said that a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 6:30 pm and arrested Ranu along with the drugs.
A case was filed.
