Food Ministries donate 1-day salary to PM Fund

Officials and employees of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Food on Monday donated their one-day salary to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received cheques for the donation at her office at noon, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
He said Health Minister Mohammad Nasim, on behalf of the officials and employees of the Health Ministry, handed over a cheque for Tk 7,32,51,000 to the Prime Minister.
On behalf of the officials and employees of the Food Ministry, Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam handed over a cheque for Tk 41 lakh to Sheikh Hasina.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith and State Minister for Health Zahid Maleque Swapan were, among others, present.
