4 Rohingya arrested with leaflets in Ukhia

Police in a drive arrested four Rohingyas along with 1000 leaflets from a computer shop and a Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar​ on Wednesday.

The arrested were identified as Md Ziabur Rahman, 40, son of Aman Ullah of Buthidaung Tombazar area in Rakhine state; Md Abdul Gaffar, son of Md Jalil, and his son (Gaffar’s) Md Anower, 22, also from Buthidaung; and Mohammad Hossain, son of Nur Ahmed of Thamia area in Akyab township of Rakhine state.

Ukhia Upazila Nirhabi Officer (UNO) Md Nikaruzzaman said they were privy to some information that some Rohingyas were trying to disturb the sense of normalcy in the camp.  

Later police conducted a drive in the area and arrested them, UNO added.
