Muggers kill man, snatch bike in Satkhira

Miscreants snatched away a motorcycle killing its owner in Nathpara Boropukur Kanda of Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

Maruf Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said that Iman Ali, 55, son of Zinu Sarder, used to run bike on hire. At dead of Monday night, miscreants killed him and later dumped the body in a pond adjacent to his house.

Later, they took away the motorcycle.

Locals spotted the floating body in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.

There were several injury marks on its head and body, added the OC.
