Missing ex-schoolteacher found dead in Kushtia

Police recovered a body of a retired schoolteacher from a water body at Putia village in Kumarkhali upazila in Kushtia on Wednesday morning, four days after he went missing.

Officer-in-charge of Kumarkhali police station Abdul Khalek said Abdul Jabbar, 70, former teacher of JN High School of Kumarkhali and son of late Ramjan Ali of the village, went missing on Saturday after he went out from his home.

Locals spotted the floating body in a water body at Putia village and informed family members and police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia general hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC adding that family members, earlier, filed a general diary.
