2 cases filed over attack on police in Chuadanga

Two separate cases have been filed in connection with attack on a sub-inspector during patrolling in the district town.

Nur Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Chuadanga district town police outpost, filed two cases with Chuadanga Sadar Police Station in connection with attack on patrol police and injuring the sub-inspector Wahid Hossain, accusing 18/19 unnamed and eight named people in each case.

Wahid Hossain sustained stab injuries in the attack by some miscreants at Firmpara area around 9:30 pm

After the incident, locals managed to catch one of the attackers and handed him over to police.

The arrestee was identified as Mintu, son of Budo Mandal of Haquepara area of Chuadanga municipality.

The injured SI has been brought to Dhaka for better treatment on Tuesday morning while the attacker has been referred to Rajshahi.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Hoque ordered police to arrest the attackers as soon as possible.

Mamhbubur Rahman, superintendent of Chuadanga Police, said that the SI came under attack as he, in drives, arrested listed terrorists in several times.
