3 killed in Bogra road accident

Three people, including a woman, were killed and at least five others injured in a road accident at Mokamtala in Shibganj upazila on early Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.

Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Saif Mahmud said the accident took place when a Kurigram-bound bus from the capital hit a roadside tree around 5:30 am, leaving three passengers dead on the spot and five others injured.

The injured were taken to different local hospitals, the OC added.
