Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport resumed around 10:00am on Thursday morning after about five hours of disruption due to heavy fog.

The airport authorities said the first outbound flight after the disruption departed at 10:08am and an arrival flight landed at 10:15am.

Earlier, all types of flights on domestic and international routes from the airport were cancelled early Thursday due to dense fog.

Met office forecast said dense fog might continue across the country while Dhaka and Mymensingh districts witness a bit of thicker fog than other parts of the country.
