2 killed as covered van hits motorcycle in Dhaka

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in the city’s Gendaria area early Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Russel, 26, Salahuddin, 27.
The accident took place when a covered van hit a motorcycle in front of a pharmacy at Samibagh around 2:00 am, leaving all three motorcyclists injured, said Sub Inspector Abu Jafar of Gendaria Police Station.
Later, the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared two of them dead.
Police arrested Jashim Hawlader, driver of the covered van, in this connection.
